A Sweet Send-Off for Jessi and Jordan

Jessi & Jordan chose the perfect Autumn day for their wedding.

A crisp late October morning, with just the right nip in the air, called for a thin jacket as the morning dew evaporated, but gave way to that ideal mid-70’s temperature midday.

And Jessi chose the perfect wedding gown for the day. A long-sleeved number with sheer fabric on the arms, embellished but thick white lace embroidered on the shoulders, forearms, and across the back, this dress looked tailor-made for Mrs. Sanford. Her floor-length veil brushed the gown just the right way as she walked down the aisle with her father, and for just a moment or two, I mistook Jessi as a real-life princess. And, might I add that it photographed incredibly well on that beautiful custom wooden hanger – gorgeous, well-selected wedding gown!

The couple selected Sweet Magnolia Estates in sunny Cornelius, which provided more than enough for all of the day’s activities. Starting from the couple’s tender “first-touch” at the building’s west corner prior to the ceremony, to the getting ready in the various suites, to the actual ceremony, to the rocking reception, this venue accommodated.

Jordan and Jordan were one of the easiest couples to work with, patient and understanding. We set up quite a few fun shots, moving fast of course, but sometimes it takes just a second to change a setting or two, and it’s always great when people are accommodating.

Cupcake options were vanilla, red velvet, and macadamia nut, in addition to a deliciously creamy-tasting 3-tiered cake. I love the fact that my job is to have a camera present on wedding days – I would hate for these beautiful couples to forget how amazing these food looks before they eat it!

As the night ended, Jessi and Jordan’s “let their love sparkle” with a fiery send-off.

Thank you, Jessi & Jordan, for allowing me to be present on your special day and document your love story. You couldn’t have been more kind and patient, and I will never forget that.
